My experiences as a teacher, principal, pastor, husband, father of five, grandfather of twelve and volunteer worker in several overseas countries have convinced me of the need for uplifting articles in our society. Over the last few years I have contributed a weekly column to the on-line newspaper Oliver Daily News in order to inject some of that into the community. I was urged to compile them into a book.
This collection of short, hopefully inspirational articles from a Christian perspective is organized under eighteen themes. The goal is to validate faith in the principles taught in God's Word as the means for gaining a positive outlook on life. The aim is to make the columns just right for the time of year and effective in the way they are written. The intent is for them to be smart: Short, Meaningful. Appealing, Relevant and True. Many of them are based on personal experiences but some are gleaned from the sources indicated. This book is the result of collecting material for years and the hope is that it will encourage you in the Christian life, or cause you to reassess your perception of what the Christian life is about.
